Another event scrapped at New York State Fair as uncertainty looms for massive attraction

The 8th annual Dairy Cow Birthing Center at the New York State Fair isn’t happening.

While the fair hasn’t been cancelled, the New York Animal Agriculture Coalition said it would not take place this year due to uncertainties connected to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

“As a result of COVID-19 and the uncertainty of the near future, the health and safety of our volunteers, visitors, and host farms would be compromised if we continue forward this year,” they said in a statement.

It anticipates resuming in 2021.

Many local and state officials have been waiting on word from Governor Andrew Cuomo about the state of the New York State Fair. Numerous events that would ordinarily take place at the fair have been scrapped. However, the most Cuomo has said about the event is that he’d find it hard to believe that it could happen if all region’s hadn’t entered ‘Phase 4’ by the time the fair would be held.
