Kimberly and Beck, the duo who previously hosted a show on Radio 95.1 released an apology video to media outlets in the Rochester-area after being fired for making racist remarks on-air.
iHeartMedia condemned the statements made during the Kimberly and Beck show, which was hosted by Kimberly Ray and Barry Beck.
The recorded apology video was less than one-minute long.
“We said hurtful, offensive things, but we are not racists,” Ray said in it. “We do not have hate in our hearts. we have only love for everyone.”
Beck echoed the sentiment, apologizing to the community. “We apologize, not to get our jobs back, but to say that we are truly sorry and want to sincerely apologize,” he said. “We will not attempt to make any excuses or explain what we said because it was wrong, it was ignorant and inexcusable.”
