The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of two Newark residents following a theft investigation.
The larceny occurred at the 5&20 Outlet Liquor Store, who reported that a large, outdoor sign advertising the business had been stolen.
Police investigated and determined that Eric Hampson, 46, and Cathryn Smith, 52, worked together to steal the sign. While doing so they caused damage to it.
They were charged with petit larceny, conspiracy, and criminal mischief.
Hampson was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
