The second phase of the Melone Village rehabilitation in the city of Auburn is nearing completion, but officials with the Housing Authority say there is plenty of work left.
Stephanie Hutchinson, who serves as Director of the authority says there’s more work to be done before the multi-year restoration of the complex is finished.
“We’re currently applying for Phase 3 grant funding of the project,” she told Finger Lakes News Radio.
The Housing Authority received a $4.6 Million grant from from the New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation in 2018.
The whole project is part of the state’s effort to bolster affordable housing.
