Troopers: Clyde man drove pickup truck into apartment building on Glasgow Street

State Police say they responded along with other first responders to the report of a pickup truck plowing into a two-story commercial building in Clyde.

The incident occurred on Glasgow Street in the village.

Police identified the driver as Marcus Lee, 30, of Clyde, who walked away from the crash site and sat in some nearby grass as he told investigators he hit the gas pedal by mistake.

Lee was charged with driving while intoxicated, and aggravated driving while intoxicated. Police say he had a BAC of .18%.

The vehicle was towed from the scene, and local code enforcement officials responded along with the Clyde Fire Department. Residents of the upstairs units in the building were temporarily relocated until an engineer could confirm that they were safe to live in given the damage caused by the pickup truck.
