Officials in Central New York are getting ready to enter ‘Phase 2’ of economic reopening.
That means Destiny USA will reopen, too.
Retail stores will be allowed to reopen, and right now the mall is working through a finalized plan to deal with what will undoubtedly be a rush.
“It will be interesting to see what kind of demand they have of tenants to open up,” said Onondaga Couty Executive Ryan McMahon during his daily briefing on Tuesday, “We will have a conversation and we have seen their restart plan and the guidance looking at masks and PPE.”
Not every store in the mall will qualify to reopen, but some will and customers will be required to wear masks inside those facilities and stores that do reopen.
The Finger Lakes is also poised to enter Phase 2 on Friday.
