Wolcott man charged with assault, reckless endangerment BAC found over twice the legal limit in Wayne County crash

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest following a personal injury motor vehicle crash that occurred earlier this year in the town of Sodus.

Deputies say James Wright, 51, of Wolcott was recently arrested following that crash on Route 14, which occurred in March.

Wright was intoxicated, and is accused of having a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit. Deputies say lab tests revealed a .27% BAC.

His intoxicated condition was a contributing factor to the wreck, which involved another vehicle. As result Wright was charged with third-degree assault, reckless endangerment, aggravated DWI, reckless driving and other violations.

He was transported to the Wayne County Jail and will appear in court on those charges at a later date.
