Deputies say that even though the driver involved in a serious rollover crash fled the scene, he was taken into custody and was uninjured in the incident.
On Wednesday at approximately 4:39 p.m. deputies, New York State Police, and multiple fire departments responded to the area of State Route 5&20 and Olmstead Road in West Bloomfield for the report of a rollover crash.
Investigation showed that the operator, identified as Keith Rn. Infarinato, 32, of West Bloomfield crashed a 2010 Honda Civic, striking a sign post and two pieces of farm equipment.
Following the wreck Infarinato immediately left the scene on foot and was discovered a short time later by deputies. He suffered minor injuries as result of the crash and was found to be impaired.
Deputies say Infarinato was charged with DWAI-drugs following investigation. He was also cited for moving from lane unsafely, and speed not reasonable.
The charges will be returnable to West Bloomfield Town Court at a later date.
