On Tuesday at approximately 10:28 p.m. police were dispatched to several reports of gunshots fired in the area of Elm and Chestnuts streets in Ithaca.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with several witnesses who reported hearing gunfire.
Witnesses also told police that they observed a silver sedan leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
No one was hurt during the incident, but it is under investigation.
