On Monday, Governor Andrew Cuomo was in Buffalo, and noted that he wants to see the Bills and other professional sports teams return.
But he admitted that it could be a challenge – depending on the league.
Fans would not be included – at least at the start – but he noted that New York would support the teams in bringing back live sports – for television or otherwise.
“If they [the teams] can make the numbers work, I say great,” Cuomo said. “The state will work with you.”
Many have argued that seeing sports come back would be a shot of ‘normalcy’ that is desperately needed.
Major League Baseball and the National Basketball Association are looking at ways of returning to play.
