Sodus man claims to have COVID-19 as he’s being taken into custody on felony charge

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 48-year-old man following an investigation into a domestic incident in the town of Sodus.

Deputies charged Anthony Hall, 48, of Sodus with one count of criminal contempt, as a felony, following the violation of a court order.

They say he had knowledge of the court order and violated it anyway.

Deputies say he was also charged with criminal nuisance for walking toward one of the responding officers stating that he had the Coronavirus.

Hall was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail pending arraignment.
