The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Newark resident following the investigation of an incident that violated an active court order.
Alyssa Moroz-Mott, 29, of Newark was charged with second-degree criminal contempt after violating a temporary order of protection instructing her to avoid a home.
It’s alleged that Moroz-Mott went directly to the protected party’s address, and removed her two year old child who was also a protected party as part of that order.
Deputies say the case was investigated by the Ontario County District Attorney’s Office with the assistance of Ontario County Child Protective Service and Wayne County Child Protective Service.
Moroz-Mott was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ontario County Jail. The charges will be answered at a later date.
