Summer sports camps, travel leagues likely next victims of coronavirus

With spring scholastic sports officially shut down two weeks ago by the coronavirus, athletes across Central New York have turned their hopes toward summer for at least an abbreviated schedule of competition.

Unfortunately for players, coaches, parents and college recruiters, the chance of that type of fun unfolding appears to be fading.

The popular Jack Pepper lacrosse tournament at West Genesee could be in peril this summer.

Much remains in limbo as the season of summer sports camps and travel team approaches. Some events have been cancelled or delayed. Others remain still scheduled but increasingly unlikely to happen.
