Authorities in Auburn say weather was likely a factor in an incident that left a pedestrian seriously injured.
A pedestrian who was walking in downtown Auburn was struck near the Hunter Dinerant. It happened around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday.
Deputy Chief Roger Anthony says a vehicle was traveling west, when the person appeared to be crossing the street. The vehicle struck the person walking, who was seriously hurt.
Anthony told Finger Lakes News Radio that the person was transported to Upstate Medical in Syracuse.
“It was raining, it was dark out, and visibility was certainly a factor,” he added, during that conversation with FLNR.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 315.253.3235.
