Waterloo man identified as fugitive, wanted in Tennessee for aggravated robbery

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 36-year-old Waterloo resident following a traffic stop on State Route 96.

Alexander LeRoy, 36, of Waterloo was stopped in the town of Phelps for failing to keep right, moving from lane unsafely, and having an inadequate plate lamp.

Through investigation deputies learned that LeRoy had a felony fugitive from justice warrant out of Tennessee for aggravated robbery.

He was also charged with driving while ability impaired by the use of a drug and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

LeRoy was transported tot he Ontario County Jail pending arraignment on the charges.
