Police: Road rage incident in Canandaigua leads to assault, felony DWI, and unlicensed operator charges

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a 23-year-old following the report of a road rage incident at Camelot Court.

Investigators say Preston Herbsts, 23, of Canandaigua followed another motorist from North Main Street to a parking lot in Camelot Court.

He then confronted the other motorist and punched that person in the face, causing physical injury.

Herbsts fled the scene in his vehicle, but was eventually located by a deputy with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

He was charged with assault, felony driving while intoxicated, and operating without a valid license.

Police say he was transported to the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
