Sheriff: Palmyra driver had BAC over .08% in fatal Ontario County crash

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on a fatal crash that happened on April 25th in the town of Farmington.

Sheriff Kevin Henderson says a toxicology report showed Zack Bassett, of Palmyra had a blood alcohol content over 0.08%, which is the legal limit at the time of the crash.

He failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Hook and Allen Padgham roads in Farmington, and collided with a dump truck, which was traveling through the intersection from another direction.

Bassett was pronounced dead at the scene. The two inside the dump truck were not injured in the wreck.
