Auburn Community Hospital has been given the green light to continue performing elective surgeries.
The hospital made the announcement on Wednesday.
Beginning May 11th the hospital will be able to resume elective procedures. The facility was not included in the first wave of allowed hospitals to do elective surgeries.
It’s not entirely clear what caused the delay, but it could have been tied to missing data.
“We are ready and able to resume elective surgery with an adequate supply of PPE, all infection control measures will be followed, and safety monitoring is already in place to make sure our patients and staff are safe,” ACH President and CEO Scott Berlucchi said in a press release. “Our team in surgical services has been working hard over the past few weeks to prepare for the reopening of outpatient elective surgeries.”
Officials say that once they knew what data was needed – they included it and filed that with New York State.
