An Auburn man faces multiple felony charges after an attack and robbery in the city of Auburn in late-March.

Police say Christopher Kui’imi Duvon Barnwell, 19, of Auburn stole a woman’s purse at a motel in Auburn. He used a knife to cut her arm in the process, as well, and is accused of punching the female victim in the face multiple times.

The whole incident unfolded on March 31st around 6:39 p.m. at the Days Inn on William Street in Auburn.

More than a month later a search warrant was executed for his arrest.

Barnwell was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree assault, first-degree criminal contempt, and second-degree criminal contempt.

When located during the search, police say he was found to be with the woman whom had an order of protection against him.
