A pair of Hornell residents have been charged with murder after an apparent fatal overdose in January.
Adam Carbonell, 30, and Angela Dixon, 45, were charged with second-degree murder after selling narcotics to 33-year-old Bridgette Cologgi, who was found dead at a home in Hornell.
Police executed a search warrant on Adsit Street in Hornell, finding drugs like heroin and carfentanyl. Further investigation confirmed the seized drugs matched what authorities thought was the fatal cocktail that took Cologgi’s life.
The duo was also charged with assault and criminal sale of a controlled substance. They’re currently being held at the Steuben County Jail.
