The Auburn Police Department is seeking a masked man, who was involved in a robbery at the Walmart Supercenter on Sunday.
It happened around 8 p.m.
Chief Shawn Butler tells Finger Lakes News Radio that a man stole jewelry before escaping from the store. He was wearing a mask – like the kind required under executive order.
Butler says that investigators have a few leads.
“Unfortunately people are going to take these opportunities to continue to do these acts,” he told FLNR. “But it’s a small community – people know each other – and I’m confident we’re going to identify this person and make an arrest.”
