State Police say a portion of Route 415 in the town of Bath was shut down for hours after a crash involving a trooper and pickup truck.
Police say it happened when the marked patrol car was traveling south on Route 415 and the motorist who was in front of it moved to the right turn lane, and abruptly made a U-turn.
The accident happened near the Trooper Clark I-86 Memorial Bridge and the intersection Knight Settlement Road around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The trooper was treated at Guthrie Corning Hospital for minor injuries. The operator of the other vehicle was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Robert Packer hospital.
Investigation into the crash remains active.
