The Auburn Community Hospital is taking an extra step to ensure that those who have COVID-like symptoms receive appropriate care.
The same weekend that Governor Andrew Cuomo said that Upstate New York was stabilizing – the hospital opened a clinic dedicated to upper-respiratory ailments.
The Citizen reports that the hospital received approval from the state Department of Health to open the site at the former Cayuga County Nursing Home.
It will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will run by appointment only. A press release noted that the clinic will provide care for patients who do not require emergency or urgent care thereby freeing up those settings to deal with severe cases.
