Students, teachers prepare for long-haul with remote learning

Parents, students, and teachers are preparing for the long-haul.

Monroe County Public Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza said the window is closing on that chance for the 2019-20 school year.

Schools across the region closed in mid-March, and will not open until at least May at this point. While teachers use Zoom and other platforms to hold meetings and teach – it isn’t the same.

And some students are struggling with the transition.

New York State has already lifted Regents requirements for this school year.
