Golf courses have been deemed non-essential, under Governor Andrew Cuomo’s latest refresh of the executive order that shut down most of the nation’s economy.
The revised order, which was publicized on Thursday, removed golf courses and ordered their closure through April 29th.
Thursday marked the first occasion that golf courses were specifically identified by Albany.
Under the same order, boat launches and marinas were deemed non-essential. That said, public parks and spaces – like playgrounds remain essential.
However, many counties throughout the region shut down playgrounds prior to the announcement.
