Canandaigua LDC provides portal for small businesses to access necessary resources

The Canandaigua Local Development Corporation has launched a web portal to provide information and access to resources in support of Canandaigua area businesses grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The site (www.canandaiguameansbusiness.com) contains links to local, state, and federal agencies, providing business owners and other area investors with information on critical funding and other opportunities to strengthen businesses during the crisis. The site was launched on April 2nd, and is accompanied by complementary Facebook and Twitter pages.

A central element of the site is the ability to connect struggling businesses with a small business advisor, who will help business owners navigate federal, state, and local programs, and connect the business community with critical resources.

In addition to the website, the LDC has also launched a survey to gather intelligence and insight from the business community regarding impacts on their enterprises related to the COVID-19 outbreak, and seeking input on what types of programming would best suit the needs of the Canandaigua business community. Information gathered from the survey will shape future support programs related to COVID-19. The survey is hosted on the Canandaigua Means Business site.

The Canandaigua LDC is a collaborative economic development effort, made possible through a partnership between the City and Town of Canandaigua and the Canandaigua Area Chamber of Commerce. For more information, visit www.canandagiaumeansbusiness.com.
