Volunteers in Yates County make more than 1,700 masks

Volunteers in Yates County are doing their part to help the community.

A group of women who are part of a sewing ministry at Bluff Point Methodist Church have shifted from making clothing for children – to making masks, according to The Chronicle-Express.

The group have already sent 1,700 masks to organizations ranging from the Canandaigua VA Medical Center to the Penn Yan Police Department and Yates County Sheriff’s Office.

They say the effort will continue as long as demand remains.
