The Penn Yan Police Department reports the arrest of a 37-year-old Stark Avenue resident on felony charges following a violent domestic incident in the village on Monday.
Brian Thompkins, 37, of Penn Yan was charged with aggravated family offense, third-degree assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment.
He was charged after an argument with a female subject, which turned violent. Police say Thompkins punched the female victim in the face – fracturing her nose.
Officers held Thompkins for arraignment due to the fact that he was charged with a felony.
Police say he also had two prior felony convictions. He was arraigned, but then released on his own recognizance.
