Driver killed in garbage truck crash in Steuben County

State Police say they are investigating a fatal crash in Steuben County, which left a Pennsylvania truck driver dead.

The crash was reported in Hornby around 10 a.m. on West Hill Road. The scene was located north of Corning.

Tony Horton, 24, was driving a Casella Waste Management garbage truck when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into several trees.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The Hornby and Village of Painted Post Fire Departments, along with AMR Ambulance and Rinwalske Towing assisted police at the scene.
