In response to the Novel Coronavirus, or COVID-19, and due to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s decision to limit operation of certain businesses to help contain the virus – Schuyler County is taking action.
County Administrator Tim O’Hearn announced on Tuesday that an extension for remittance of room tax to the County Treasurer was granted.
“Impacted businesses are still required to file their quarterly report by Friday March 20th. Payment may be remitted with no penalty up until April 20th,” O’Hearn said.
He says the treasurer will be notifying lodging establishments of this extension.
