Finger Lakes Health follows NYS lead, suspends all visitation to local nursing homes

Following the guidance of New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo and State Public Health officials long-term living centers in Seneca, Cayuga, Ontario, and Yates counties are preventing visitors.

As of late-Thursday, visitors have been banned from nursing homes and senior living centers throughout the region.

Finger Lakes Health posted ‘stop’ signs on doors.

“Under the guidance from the New York State Department of Health we have decided to suspend visitation to our long term care facilities at this time,” Finger Lakes Health said in a statement. “Our residents are our primary concern and we are making every effort to keep them from exposure to illness.”
