Clyde man arrested on nine charges, including assault after hurting two officers responding to domestic

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Clyde resident following an investigation into a domestic incident where two officers were hurt.

Cameron Dawson, 21, of Clyde was arrested at the scene following that investigation. He’s accused of choking his girlfriend during a domestic incident.

When responding deputies arrived Dawson attempted to leave and then began to fight with officers. That secondary altercation with law enforcement continued for several minutes before he was taken into custody.

Two officers were hurt during the incident, deputies said.

Dawson was charged with two counts of attempted criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of assault, one count of criminal possession of a weapon, obstructing governmental administration, criminal obstruction of breathing, resisting arrest, and unlawful imprisonment.

Dawson was transported to the Wayne County Jail.
