Deputies: Vehicle ends up on its roof along railroad tracks in Wayne County, driver sent to Strong Memorial Hospital

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says one person was sent to Strong Hospital after an apparent rollover crash in Wayne County.

Deputies say they arrived on-scene finding a vehicle lying on its roof. The four door sedan was next to the railroad tracks near Welchar and Bloom roads.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Adam L. Smith, who sustained minor injuries from the crash, but had to be transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Investigators say Smith lost control of his vehicle, it went off the road side of the roadway, striking the railroad tracks before rolling over.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Newark Fire Department and Newark Ambulance.
