A neighborhood of residents in Sodus Point had to shelter in place on Friday after an ordnance was found.
It was discovered during home renovations.
The Monroe County Bomb Squad was called in to help remove it.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office asked for residents to shelter in place while crews worked the scene.
The home was located on North Ontario Street.
Ordnance has been removed from Sodus Point by the @monroesheriffny Bomb Squad.
