The Auburn Save-A-Lot grocery store located on Seminary Street will shut down later this month.
Corporate officials made the announcement earlier this week to staff of the store.
It opened in 2012 and became a mainstay in Auburn. At this point, the store has 10 employees, according to The Citizen.
“I’m going to miss a lot of our customers,” Store Manager Cynthia Sanderson told them. “We’d like to thank all of our customers through the years that we’ve been here for supporting us.”
Auburn still has a grocery store located in the heart of the city, but the closure means one less option for those in neighborhoods around the Save-A-Lot location.
