Employees of BCS Automotive Interface Solutions, which is located in Aurelius, have learned that they will be out of a job by the end of the year.
The company told employees that the plant will officially close by the first quarter of 2021.
BCS employs more than 200 people, according to The Citizen.
A slowdown in the global automotive industry was blamed. The company had announced that it was reviewing its operations globally in December, according to The Citizen.
The company said that there would be some potential for jobs elsewhere, but not across the entire workforce in Cayuga County.
