The victim told police that he was on the canal path with an unknown female, when two white males came out of a wooded area and started to assault him.

Deputies were able to locate the one identified white male, he was with three other individuals who were causing another disturbance in the Town of Lyons, a short time after the assault.

The individuals located were, Anthony J Rizzo, 32, Sarah M. Hellis, 31, and Destinyann M. Gourney, 21, all living at 3992 Buffalo Street in the Town of Marion.

The trio told deputies that the victim had tried to message one of the female defendants on Facebook and this made them angry. They then setup a meeting with the victim, so the two male suspects could beat him up for the unwanted Facebook messages.
