The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says the remains discovered over the weekend near Geneseo were likely that of a man who had been on the run for nearly two years.
Sheriff Tom Dougherty says he’s inclined to believe that the body found by hunters in a wooded area of Route 20A are likely that of David Clyde Morgan.
Dashcam footage of a July 2018 traffic stop showed Morgan pointing a gun at police, then fleeing on foot.
He was wanted in North Carolina. Dougherty says they are awaiting DNA results to confirm the identity of the remains.
