On Thursday a little after 5 p.m. first responders were called to Kegs Canalside, a popular country music venue in Jordan.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire inside.
“Crews got in there and found a decent amount of fire that made a really good hit on it, and they contained it to one section of the building,” said Casey Brim, an officer in charge of the Jordan Fire Department, who spoke with CNYCentral.
No one was inside the building at the time of the fire, but there was a significant amount of damage to the property.
“We had about six departments here, and obviously cold weather and daytime manpower is a little bit of a struggle, but everybody did an excellent job,” Brim added.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
