A grand jury indicted two people following an arrest after a high-speed chase in Yates County. One of which has ties to a suspected criminal organization.
District Attorney Todd Casella told the Finger Lakes Times that Bradley Zadul and Jessica Owen were arraigned Tuesday in county court following the indictments.
Zadul, who is a Niagara Falls resident, faces multiple charges including criminal possession of a weapon and driving while ability impaired by drugs.
Meanwhile, Owen is facing felony weapon charges.
During the early-morning hours of January 2nd police saw Zadul leaving a suspected drug location in the village, and when officers attempted a traffic stop – he fled.
A high-speed chase ensued. By the time it ended, a third person, identified as Charles Buchanan, of Penn Yan was also taken into custody. He has not yet been arraigned.
Prosecutors say Zadul is a member of the Kingsmen Motorcycle Club. Federal law enforcement officials have called that group a criminal organization.
Both pleaded not guilty in court this week.
