A 33-year-old Lyons man is in custody on assault and burglary charges following a violent incident in the town of Lyons on February 12th.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Richard Taft, 33, of Lyons following an investigation into a disturbance that left another person with a fractured arm.
Deputies say Taft caused the broken arm to another person during a confrontation. He was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree burglary.
He was additionally charged with intimidating a victim or witness after he began threatening the man to not press charges.
Taft was transported to the Wayne County Jail and will answer the charges at a later date.
