Governor Andrew Cuomo shed a little more light on the meeting between He and President Donald Trump last week in an interview on Sunday.
He told AM 970 that the meeting covered a range of topics. It included the $10,000 cap on state and local tax deductions as well as major construction projects like overhauling LaGuardia Airport and the push for funding the Gateway tunnel plan.
“Look, I said to the President if you help us with one of these projects which Is a federal project and it’s good for the country, I’ll be 100 percent cooperative,” Cuomo said in the interview. “You know, I want what’s good for my state. I don’t care if you’re Democrat or Republican, if you’re short, tall. Let’s work and get things done. That’s what the game is all about.”
The meeting was said to have lasted approximately an hour.
