The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation into a crash that occurred on Saturday at the intersection of State Routes 14 and 318 in Phelps.
Adam Tanner, of Auburn was traveling south on Route 14 and attempted to make a left turn onto Route 318. Deputies say he failed to yield the right of way to Candy Greenfield, of Fairport, who was traveling north on Route 14.
Phelps Ambulance transported Greenfield to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. A passenger in Tanner’s vehicle had to be airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, as well.
LifeNet was the responding air medic to the scene. Oaks Corners Fire Department and Lyons Ambulance also responded to the scene.
Tanner was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way. Both of the individuals who were sent to Strong are currently listed in stable condition.
