Maximize the outflows from Lake Ontario.
That was the message from Representatives John Katko and Anthony Brindisi.
They both sent letters to the chair of the agency that regulates water levels on Lake Ontario, as well as the St. Lawrence River.
In the letter, the two called on IJC to keep outflows from the Moses-Saunders Dam maintained above Plan 2014 limits, according to LocalSYR.com.
This comes as water levels on the lake are approaching historic levels.
Estimates reported earlier this month indicate that the lake level could exceed 2017 flood levels.
