This week an Auburn man was convicted of injuring a corrections officer and possessing a weapon at the Auburn Correctional Facility.
The Auburn Citizen reports that Tyrell Dowdell, 33, was an inmate at ACF when he fled from officers who were frisking him.
He injured a corrections officer by slamming his arm inside a large door. He was convicted in a bench trial, the Citizen says, which carries a sentence of up to 7 years in prison.
Sentencing is scheduled to take place in April.
