Officials say this could be the year that a major change begins at one of Victor’s busiest intersections.
Last week the state comptroller gave the green light on a $3.2 million contract with Cold Spring Construction Co., who will be responsible for building a roundabout at the intersection of Lynaugh Road and State Route 96.
“There’s no question it’s not safe at that intersection,” Victor Supervisor Jack Marren said to MPNNow.com. “We have had accidents and near misses.”
That section of Route 96 will be closed when school lets out, and will not reopen until the start of school in the fall. There are several projects on the horizon that could take shape over the next 2-4 years in Victor along that troublesome stretch of State Route 96.
