A special election is coming.
It was announced on Monday that a special election will be held on April 28th, which is primary day for New Yorkers, to fill the seat vacated by Republican Chris Collins last year.
The 27th seat covers Livingston, Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming Counties, as well as parts of Monroe, Ontario, Erie and Niagara Counties.
Nate McMurray, a Democrat, and Chris Jacobs, a Republican are thought to be the front-runners for that post as of now.
