An Ithaca man was arrested after a violent crash on Route 215 in Cortland County last Friday.
Police say that on February 7th, Aliester Wells-Burlingame, 29, of Ithaca was traveling on Route 215 near Bennie Road in the town of Cortlandville after 1 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve.
His vehicle went off the road and sheered a utility pole. Power lines came down and power was cut to the area.
Deputies say Wells-Burlingame was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. One passenger inside the vehicle was also under 17, which meant an endangering the welfare of a child charge, too.
Appearance tickets were issued.
