Farmington driver charged with DWI after taking out mailbox

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 60-year-old Farmington man following the investigation of a property damage crash.

On Friday at approximately 5:30 p.m. deputies were called to Beavercreek Road in the town of Farmington for a one-car crash.



The vehicle had struck a mailbox along the road. Deputies investigating determined that Thomas Pinos, 60, of Farmington was the operator.

He was also found to be intoxicated. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued an appearance ticket.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
