Officials say a Cornell student is in isolation after presenting with symptoms of the novel coronavirus this past weekend.
University officials say the student met the criteria to be tested for the virus and they are currently in isolation receiving ongoing care.
The student does not live on campus.
Results from the test could take a full week, according to the university, as the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) processes the laboratory tests.
There are currently no confirmed cases of the virus in New York.
